More about this project

Active for Life Year 5 is a school-based research study which is taking place in primary schools in Bristol during 2011-2013.

The aims of the project are to test whether lessons that teach children about the importance and enjoyment of being active and having a healthy diet are an effective way:

  • to increase physical activity
  • to decrease the amount of time that children are sedentary
  • to increase the children’s consumption of fruit and vegetables
