Research summary

I am a Health Psychologist with an interest in developing and evaluating interventions and health-related behaviour change.

I set up the Health Psychology and Interventions Group (HPIG) in the School of Social and Community Medicine (together with Drs Clare Thomas and Katie Whale). The group draws together Health Psychology and related expertise across the school.

I am working with Professor Esther Crawley to run the FITNET-NHS Trial which evaluates an online cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) programme for children with chronic fatigue.

My interests are in healthcare interventions, addiction and mental health, health psychology and behaviour change. I enjoy both clinical and research work, having trained in motivational interviewing, personal coaching, CBT and as an NHS smoking cessation practitioner. I completed a Professional Doctorate in Health Psychology in December 2016, alongside my research management role.
