My research interests are in implementation science and knowledge mobilsation, with the aim of increasing the impact of research evidence in policy and practice.  I have many years experience of running large scale mixed methods research studies, predominantly in primary care, including studies relating to frequent attenders in primary care, depression, cardiovascular risk and osteoporosis.  I am also a chartered psychologist specialising in health and behaviour changes. I will be working alongside the teams at NIHR CLAHRC West and HPRU in EI to support implementation and knowledge mobilisation activities.

I have experience of managing randomised controlled trials(RCT) and conducting qualitative research. I am also a Chartered Health Psychologist. I am currently co-ordinating an RCT of community-based screening for osteoporosis in older women. I am also carrying out a qualitative study exploring the acceptability of screening amongst women and GPs. Previously I have conducted a study about women's decision making for mode of delivery after previous caesarean section. I have also worked as a psychologist in a community-based cardiac rehabilitation service.
