Biography

Ahmed is an epidemiologist working on the EU-funded LifeCycle and LongITools projects. His research involves using statistical methods and large multicohort studies to describe and identify the determinants and effects of cardio-metabolic and musculoskeletal health trajectories. Some of his current research projects include studies into the effects of IVF, pregnancy complications, puberty, physical activity and environmental factors. Ahmed's research also utilises systematic reviews and meta-analysis, genome-wide association studies and Mendelian randomization.
