Dr Mairead Murphy

Mairead’s main area of research is on patient reported outcome measures in primary care. She developed the Primary Care Outcomes Questionnaire (PCOQ), a new research tool for generic interventions in primary care. She is currently investigating the applicability of the PCOQ to clinical practice at an individual level. Mairead previously worked in both the UK and Africa, in the area of healthcare evaluations and the implementation of new healthcare projects. She retains an interest in this, and continues to carry out mixed-method healthcare project evaluations in the UK and Africa.
