Biography

Following an undergraduate degree in Human Sciences, a masters degree in Biological Anthropology and as a molecular genetics lab researcher at the University of Oxford, Nic’s PhD work in Bristol on Mendelian randomization represented an important fusion between applied epidemiology and human genetics. At the end of his PhD, Nic was seconded as a post doctoral researcher to the Wellcome Trust Centre for Human Genetics, where he became involved in the first wave of genomewide association studies (GWAS) through the Wellcome Trust Case Control Consortium (type 2 diabetes (T2D) analysis team) and the initiation of a collection of collaborative consortia ...
