I studied German and Italian for my first degree (BA Hons 1997) and went on to complete an MA in Medieval Studies (1999) at the University of Leeds. My doctoral thesis was a study of the reception of a selection of Boccaccio's Italian and Latin works in the 14th and 15th centuries (Leeds 2004).
