Research summary

Gino Raymond has been a member of the Department since 1989 and is currently Professor of Modern French Studies. His undergraduate teaching includes units on French society, the intellectual history of France, France during the occupation and the literature of commitment. At postgraduate level he has supervised the MA in translation and a variety of doctoral theses ranging from the study of capitalism in Zola to the construction of identity among minority communities in France.
