Teaching

Undergraduate teaching

I participate in the teaching of the following Year 1 units in French: 'Shaping France' and 'Representing Francophone Cultures'. I also convene and teach the following French undergraduate units:

  • Francophone Women Directors: Documentary Filmmaking (Year 4)
  • Seeing, Hearing and Thinking the Cinema of Jean-Luc Godard (Year 4)
  • Introduction to French Cinema (Year 2)

 I co-teach the following School-wide Modern Languages units:

  • Gender, Sexuality and Cinema (Year 4): the sessions I teach focus on queer identities.

 Postgraduate teaching

I teach and supervise students taking the following units for the MA in Comparative Literatures and Cultures:

  • Theories of Visual Culture
  • Cultural Encounters

I co-supervise PhD candidates and have acted as co-supervisor for the MPhil research programme in French.

  • CPD accredited Disability Equality Training (WECIL: supporting independent living)
  • CPD certified NAS Autism Training: 'Understanding and supporting autistic people in Higher Ed.', 'Understanding autism', 'Autism and communication', 'Autism and sensory experience', 'Autism, stress & anxiety', 'Autism: supporting families'. 
  • Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA).
  • Qualified TESOL teacher (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages).
