Dr Peter Racz

I currently work on:

- within- and across-language variation in the use of kinship terms as a function of linguistic and social structure, using curated language corpora, typological data, and language from the web

- the effect of the interlocutor and the environment on individual patterns in artificial language learning, using web-based experiments

- computational models of learning and categorisation applied to linguistic data (whether it comes from corpora or experiments!)

- effects of the social interpretation of gender on language use

See my personal page for my CV, list of publications, and a more flattering picture.
