Research summary

I am currently working on a British Academy funded project which aims to understand the social norms which underpin FGM/C in Ethiopia. We will be using unmatched count techniques (also called list experiment or item count technique) to establish support for FGM/C within this area, and using social network analysis to understand the social dynamics of FGM/C. We hope that the results will provide new insights into how the practice is socially maintained and inform eradication efforts within Ethiopia.
