    This invited provocation for Panel 2: Partnerships and Relationships between Artists and the Academy drew on my article ‘The Impact Market’, which I wrote for the ‘On Institutions’ issue of Performance Research. I addressed the part practitioner-researchers have played in what Stephano Harney and Fred Moten call ‘the spread of the university beyond the university’. And our complicity in the capture of both performance practices and social acts by academic institutions.
