    Abstract

    The Linenthal leaf contains only three small fragments of offertory verses and the text incipits for three chants for the Dominica Vacat. This essay draws on the information preserved within the tiny fragment to make a case for the presence of Breton notation, Breton chant repertoire, and perhaps a Breton way of singing those chants in Christ Church Canterbury in the late 10th century
