My research is primarily concerned with the multi-wavelength properties of high redshift star-forming galaxies. Essentially redshift is a proxy for distance and look-back time into the past (due to the time it takes for light from the distant Universe to reach us). Therefore, in studying high-redshift galaxies we are looking at not only the most distant (and faint!) objects but we are also looking back in time to when the Universe was just a fraction of its current age.
