Biography

After an MSci Physics from UCL, graduating in 2008 with a final project in organic LEDs, I worked in various aspects of science communication for six years. This included reviewing astronomy books, writing amusing columns for Physics World, preparing educational materials about Maths, being a research for the BBC's science section, and press officer work at the ESRF. After three years managing communications and events for the faculty of Engineering at UCL, I decided the PhD students were having fun I wanted to have and left to study at the Bristol Centre for Functional Nanomaterials EPSRC CDT.

I still blog occasionally and am a co-ordinator for local chaotic science cabaret night, Science Showoff.

Teaching

I am a demonstrator for first year physics labs. I teach microwave optics, an experiment which develops students' ability to design an experiment, as well as reinforcing optics phenomena from basics to advanced level.
