Research summary

Using novel technologies in guided wave optics we are developing systems for the generation, manipulation and detection of photons. These photons are used as the quantum information carrying 'qubit' in a the field of quantum information processing. Another way of looking at this is to say we're making some very clever little circuits that play with the fundamental waves/particles of light: photons. Doing this enables us to control every physical property of these photons.
