Research summary

My primary scientific focus lies in investigating the role inflammatory signalling pathways play during skin and cardiac fibrosis and subsequent scar resolution in a novel, adult zebrafish model system. 

 

Following an early career in human genetics and mouse models of human disease, I was fascinated to master the techniques that make Zebrafish such an excellent vertebrate model system for cellular level/whole organ live in vivo imaging, genetic manipulation and large and small-scale pharmacological/drug screening.
