Years before I Never Done Enough Weird Stuff Dan, one of Richard's former students in Newport, owned a very early Sony Walkman which Richard would listen to. Dan made Richard a mix tape of dance music which Richard loved and would listen to often. Richard remembers his favourite track was B E B34 [untraced] which mixed synthesiser with samples from Chinese state radio. Richard remembers this inclusion as the first time he introduced electro music into his performances. |
