Biography

I am working on cerebellar contributions to motor adaptation. Motor adaptation is an essential form of sensory motor learning where our motor actions are continually updated to adapt to sensory perturbations. For example, when typing on an unfamiliar keyboard accuracy is initially low, but with experience, typing becomes more accurate. In this example, the motor action of typing is subjected to a sensory perturbation (different layout or feel of keys on a keyboard) and needs to be updated.
