I’m a PhD student on the Neural Dynamics Wellcome Trust programme, supervised by Tony Pickering, Matt Jones and Rosalyn Moran (now at KCL)

My research focuses on the role of the locus coeruleus (LC) in behaviour. The LC is a small nucleus in the brainstem that provides the brain’s main source of the neuromodulator noradrenaline. Noradrenaline is intricately involved in the regulation of behaviour – you’ll find it at work, for instance, when your focus of attention needs to shift its spotlight or broaden its scope.
