Research summary

Computational Statistics and Monte Carlo methods

I’m interested in the development of mathematical and computational tools to perform statistical analyses. The focus of my research is on models and methods for dynamic statistical inference problems – those in which estimates and predictions are updated over time in response to the availability of new data and variations in underlying phenomena. This structure is common to problems which motivate my research from many different areas of science, including communications engineering, climate and weather prediction, econometrics, genomics, neuroscience and systems biology.

I work on the development and understanding of algorithms to help solve ...
