Helen Ballard is a graduate of the University of Oxford (BA 1985; MA 1986) and has additional postgraduate degrees from the Universities of Exeter and Sheffield. She is a Chartered Organisational Psychologist and is a founder member of The Association of Business Psychologists
Helen is interested in research methods, and how the blend of quantitative and qualitative research can inform practice. She has run large-scale surveys with 20,000 to 50,000 respondents on subjects such unemployment, employee satisfaction, training evaluation and employee attitudes.
Helen has over 20 years’ international experience of working with senior managers across a wide range of organisations. Her most recent position was as Managing Director of The Development Practice Ltd where she worked with clients such as Friends Provident, Virgin Media, Fujitsu, ExxonMobil, Shropshire County Council, and the Ministry of Justice. Previously she was Organisation Development consultant for Hewlett Packard where she co-designed their worldwide management development programme for 50,000 first and middle managers, and prior to this she was Head of Branch Business Services at the Employment Department
Helen specialises in research methods, leadership development, change management, coaching and team effectiveness.
