    Abstract

Comments on the Court of Appeal decision in Heneghan v Manchester Dry Docks Ltd on whether the "Fairchild exception", under which multiple employers may be found jointly and severally liable for a worker's exposure to asbestos over his or her career, could be applied in cases of lung cancer or was limited to mesothelioma claims as this disease, unlike cancer, is attributable to a single causal agent.
