Summary

Biography

Roseanne's research interests lie at the intersection of labour law, corporate governance and feminist legal theory. Her work to date has focussed on women’s treatment, progression and representation within the corporate workplace. She is currently working on two research projects: (1) unconscious bias, agency and law; and (2) multi-national companies and ‘gender empowerment’.

Roseanne is Co-editor in Chief of the Common Law World Review and a member of the editorial board of the Employment Lawyers' Association Briefing. She was a member of the Law Society of England and Wales Employment Law Committee from 2008-2018, co-convenor of the Society of Legal Scholars Company Law Stream from 2015-2018, and former consultative committee member for the UK Office of Tax Simplification's review of employment status.

A graduate of the universities of Glasgow and Bristol, before entering academia Roseanne practised as a solicitor in Edinburgh and the City and from 2005-2007 was Principal Legal Officer at the former Equal Opportunities Commission.
