My research is on Buddhism in Thailand. I am examining Thailand's policy to support and accomodate Buddhism and how this entanglement affects Thailand's development of democratization and creation of the rule of law.

Biography

Khemthong Tonsakulrungruang earned his LL.B. with First Class Honours from Chulalongkorn University in Thailand before pursuing his LL.M. at Yale Law School, USA. He joined the Faculty of Law, Chulalongkorn University, in 2009 teaching Constitutional and Administrative Law courses. In addition to teaching, he served as an assistant to the Cabinet's legal advisory committee and the Constitution Amendment Commission in 2010 -2011. His interest includes the rule of law, religious freedom, freedom of expression, and judicial review.
