Biography

Gwynn Davis studied at Aberystwyth, Oxford, Edinburgh and Bristol. A former Probation Officer, he joined Bristol University in 1976 and moved to the Law Faculty in 1987. He was appointed Professor of Socio-Legal Studies in 1995. Following his retirement, he is now Honorary Senior Research Fellow.

Most of Gwynn's time has been devoted to research, and in particular to the conduct of externally funded projects which are broadly socio-legal in character.
