    Environmental crime sanctions are found in numerous pieces of legislation and enforced by a variety of national, regional and local regulators. The civil sanctions introduced following the 2008 Regulatory Enforcement and Sanctions Act are overlaid on existing regulatory powers. This paper notes the movement towards US style sentencing guidelines for corporate offenders.
