Research summary

In my research I am investigating methods to estimate the mass balance of ice sheets (Greenland and Antarctica) from remote sensing data. Three methods can be distinguished to that: 1) mass budget (net snow accumulation minus ice flux over the grounding line), 2) gravimetry (GRACE satellites), 3) elevation changes from altimetry. The overall goal is to combine all these estimates to obtain consistent mass changes with robust error estimates. Biography

I started my project in Bristol in March 2010, after having done my PhD at the Hydrology & Quantitative Water Management group of Wageningen University and Research Centre, The Netherlands.
