Dr Peter Hopcroft

I took the undergraduate Physics with studies in musical performance degree at Imperial College London and the Royal College of Music, graduating in 2004 with 1st class honours.  I then went on to study for a PhD in Geophysics, also at Imperial College and began to work on the reconstruction of past climate using non-linear Bayesian methods.  I completed my PhD in 2008 and shortly after, moved to the Univeristy of Bristol to begin a post-doctoral position in palaeo-climate modelling.  My current work at Bristol is focussed on improving our understanding of abrupt climate change in the past.
