Research summary

I'm a PhD student researching impacts of extreme weather events and flooding under different climate change scenarios. Specifically I'm investigating the implications of 1.5 and 2 degrees of global warming, the goals of the IPCC Paris agreement. My supervisors are Dann Mitchell (BRIDGE) and Paul Bates (Hydrology).

Biography

Previously, I worked at the University of Oxford, on the World Weather Attribution project. This used climateprediction.net simulations to attribute the extent that human induced global warming is changing the likelihood of specific extreme weather events. Before that I worked in CSIRO, Australia in climate model development of the ACCESS model. This included work with the United Kingdom Chemistry and Aerosols model, and the nudging module within ACCESS.
