Research summary

I am a polar microbiologist and geochemist, investigating the sucession of microbial communities in newly exposed soil following glacier retreat. I employ both laboratory and metagenomic approaches to study the community composition, metabolic functions, and the evolution of these communities with succession.

I am currently working on a PhD, funded by the national environmental research council (NERC) through the GW4+ partnership.
