Research summary

My principal research interest is biogeochemical cycling within the cryosphere. My current research focuses on the biogeochemistry of supraglacial (surface ice) environments. This is a three year NERC postdoctoral position: ‘Greening of retreating glaciers: storage versus export of autochthonous organic matter’ (P.I. Dr. Alex Anesio). Over the last three years I have conducted fieldwork on Svalbard valley glaciers, the Greenland Ice Sheet and glaciers in the Antarctic Dry Valleys.
