Research summary

I am interested in using climate models to identify and understand feedbacks in the climate system and determine how these might be influenced by a changing climate. My work has focused predominantly on the feedbacks between the land surface and climate, including the impacts of anthropogenic land-use change such as deforestation and agriculture.

Currently I am employed as a research associate on the EU-funded LUC4C project. The aim is to more accurately determine the impact of anthropogenic land use change on climate, in order to better develop land based mitigation options.

PhD –  "Investigating the feedbacks between CO2, the land surface and the Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation". NERC funded at the University of Bristol with Paul Valdes, Joy Singarayer & Jo House.
