Dr Deeming’s research at Bristol University speaks to some of the world’s most challenging social problems and issues, including human consumption and climate change, poverty alleviation, food security, and social protection, inequalities and social determinants of health and well-being.
He has a degree in Sociology from the University of Bath and a PhD from the University of Bristol that focused on the meaurement of living standards supervised by the British Sociologist Peter Townsend (1928-2009).
Previously based at the University of London and the University of New South Wales, Australia.
Dr Deeming is the Reviews Editor for the Journal of Social Policy published by Cambridge University Press.
