Research summary

I work for the Preloading Trial - a multi-centre RCT headed by Prof Paul Aveyard in Birmingham. We are testing the impact on subsequent quit success of giving smokers nicotine patches for four weeks prior to their quitting smoking via standard NHS stop smoking services.

The local PI for the trial is Prof Marcus Munafo.

Biography

My interests are in addiction interventions, health psychology, mental health and behaviour change. I enjoy both clinical and research work, having trained in motivational interviewing, life coaching, CBT and as an NHS smoking cessation practitioner. I plan to take a Professional Doctorate in Health Psychology alongside working for the Preloading Trial.

Previously:
