Professor Claire Haworth


Claire studied Experimental Psychology at the University of Oxford, and then spent a year working as an assistant psychologist, specialising in traumatic brain injury in childhood. Funded by an MRC studentship, she completed an MSc and PhD in Social Genetic and Developmental Psychiatry, at the Institute of Psychiatry, King's College London. Since her PhD she has been funded by two consecutive fellowships; an interdisciplinary fellowship from the MRC and ESRC, and a research fellowship from the British Academy. During her second fellowship, Claire moved to the University of Warwick to set up her research group. In April 2015, Claire joined the University of Bristol as Reader in Behavioural Genetics.

Claire was awarded the British Psychological Society's Spearman Medal in 2017, for outstanding published work in Psychology.
