Research summary


I have an interest in the evaluation and lateralisation of cognitive function in epilepsy using functional MR neuroimaging methods, both in task-based and resting state fMRI, with particular emphasis on pre-operative evaluation for resective surgery.

We are currenlty attempting to evaluate the efficacy of using task-based fMRI paradigms (some novel), resting-state fMRI and diffusion tensor imaging in predicting post-operative cognitive risk of resective surgery.

I started supporting Univeristy of Bristol course activites through my clinical post with North Bristol/UHBristol NHS Trust in November 2014 but officially joined the Univerisity in Feb 2016.

I hold registered scientist status with The Science Council, am a registered biologist and member of the Royal Society of Biology and also hold early career scientist status with the British Neuroscience Association.

I am currently completing my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (DClinPsy) with Cardiff University.
