Dr Diambra has been recently awarded an EPSRC grant "Anisotropy of fibre reinforced sands under generalised loading conditions" (http://gow.epsrc.ac.uk/NGBOViewGrant.aspx?GrantRef=EP/J010022/1).
Biography
Dr Andrea Diambra was appointed as Lecturer in the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Bristol in 2010, joining the Geomechanics Group. Before the current appointment, Dr Diambra has been working as a consultant geotechnical engineer for Mott MacDonald Ltd. He obtained his PhD at Bristol University (awarded in 2010) studying the mechanical behaviour of fibre reinforced sands. Dr Diambra was awarded in 2004 a MSc in Environmental Engineering from Universita’ Politecnica delle Marche, Ancona, Italy.
