I am a postdoctoral researcher working with Dr Sabine Hauert on the evonano project (H2020 FET Open Project) that aims to build a pipeline for improved nanoparticle (NP) design used as drug-vectors in cancer treatment. My specific research is focussed on designing simulations of the transport barriers for nanoparticle-based drug therapies, with a focus on modelling new types of aggregated NP behaviour and realistic cell environments.

My PhD research (funded through EPSRC CASE award) was on extending the functionality of the high-speed atomic force microscope (HS-AFM) to 'hear' material properties, enabling non-destructive stiffness measurements of materials with high elastic modulus (such as metals) using the acoustic signal of micro-mechanical cantilevers.
