Naim Dahnoun received his PhD in Biomedical Engineering at Leicester University in 1990 and worked at the Leicester Royal Infirmary as a researcher on blood flow measurements for femoral bypass grafts and then as Lecturer in Digital Signal Processing at Leicester University.
In 1993, he started new research in optical communication at UMIST University in Manchester on Wideband Optical Communication Links before joining the Electrical Engineering Department at the University of Bristol in 1994 where he is now holding the position of a Reader in Learning and Teaching of DSP.
