My research is focused on the prediction of damage onset and propagation in light alloys and composite materials/structures, with special emphasis on probabilistic aspects of material fatigue. I have also been actively involved in the aeroelastic design and tailoring of active aerospace composite structures.
Dr Giuliano Allegri joined the University of Bristol in 2007. He has a MSc and a PhD respectively in aeronautical and aerospace engineering, both earned at the University of Rome “La Sapienza”. He is a member of the RAeS, AIAA and a Chartered Engineer. Prior to the current position he was a research associate at the University of Rome “La Sapienza” and at Cranfield University, where he was promoted to lecturer.
