Bruce W. Drinkwater was born in Hexham, England in 1970. He received BEng and PhD degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Imperial College, London, England in 1991 and 1995 respectively.   His PhD thesis was on the subject of solid coupled ultrasonic devices for Non-Destructive Evaluation.

From 1996 to the present he has worked as an academic in the Mechanical Engineering Department at the University of Bristol, England.  He was promoted to Professor in 2007.  His research interests focus on ultrasonics and NDE.  He has published over 100 journal articles covering 1) the interaction of ultrasound with adhesive ...
