Biography

Araz was awarded a BSc in Electrical Engineering from University of Baghdad-Iraq in 1998, and an MSc in Electronic and Communication Engineering in 2005.Between 2006-2011 he was a Lecturer at the University of Sulaimani-Kurdistan of Iraq where he taught:

  • Digital System Design - 4th year, Communication I - 3rd year , Digital Electronics I - 2nd year
  • FPGA Lab - 4th year , Digital Electronics Lab - 2nd year

He then joined the Communication Systems and Networks Research Group at the University of Bristol in 2011 where he completed his PhD in Electrical and Electronic Engneering in 2015. His PhD study was sponsored by Kurdistan Regional Government under the HCDP program. He was supervised by Professor Andrew Nix and Dr Angela Doufexi.

 He is currently a Lecturer in Electrical and Electronic Engineering Department  at the University of Sulaimani, Kurdistan of Iraq.
