Research summary

Aravind is currently developing a multibody dynamics framework for simulating the dynamics of tiltrotor helicopters. Consequently, his current interests span,

  • Multibody modelling techniques such as Udwadia-Kalaba approach, Kane's method and Lagrange's method
  • Finite element methods for deformable bodies
  • Geometrically exact beam theory
  • Substructuring methods for dynamical systems
  • Automatic differentiation and
  • Solution schemes for Differential Algebraic Equations
