Dr Andrea Tassi

I am a Senior Research Associate in Wireless Connectivity for Autonomous Vehicles at the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering of the University of Bristol, UK.

I am also the principal system and data architect of car trials in the Innovate UK VENTURER and FLOURISH Projects, and developer of a novel open-source low-latency platform providing heterogeneous connectivity(ITS-G5, Cellular-V2X, mmWave) to Intelligent Transportation Systems. My platform is has been deployed the campus of the University of Bristol, and includes Software-Defined Network (SDN) programmable ITS-G5 DSRC road-side and on-board units. This platform makes possible all the look-ahead/cooperative sensing functionalities offered by the autonomous vehicles we are currently testing.
