Biography

Andrea Cammarano is currently a research assistant in the department of Mechanical Engineering.

He got a PhD from the University of Bristol in Aerospace Engineering studying the bandwidth of linear and nonlinear vibration-based resonant energy harvesters. His interests include nonlinear dynamics, energy harvesting, vibro-acoustics, numerical modelling. He is current work is aimed at reducing the vibration in structures by using energy harvesters. In particular he is interested in the possibility to exploit nonlinear devices to improve the vibration reduction.  He is also part of "Engineering Nonlinearities", a project involving five Universities (Bristol, Cambridge, Swansea, Southampton and Sheffield) and several industrial ...
