Dr Matt Kedzierski


Matt is a Lecturer in Education (Applied Linguistics/TESOL). He is an alumnus of the University of Bristol, where he completed MSc degrees in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (in 2009); and in Educational Research (in 2011). As a member of the now defunct Centre for Globalisation, Education and Social Futures at Bristol, he undertook ESRC-funded doctoral research into the globalising of Mandarin Chinese as a Foreign Language (2011-16). Currently, Matt directs the MSc TESOL programme and teaches Pedagogy and Curriculum in TESOL, Analysing Language for TESOL and Education Policy (EdD)

Previously, Matt has worked at the Institute of Education, University College London; Bath Spa University; and lectured in Cross-Cultural Communication and TESOL in the Department of English Linguistics and Literature, School of Foreign Languages Zhejiang A&F University, Hangzhou, China. In 2013, Matt completed a research attachment at the Chinese University of Hong Kong under the International Asian Studies Programme.
