Biography

Jean Dourneen joined the PGCE English team at the graduate School of Education in September 2006, having taught for 27 years in secondary schools in Dorset, North Somerset and Somerset. 

She was a member of the QCA Creativity in English Working Party; trialled and wrote schemes of work for their publication Giving a Voice: speaking and listening activities for Key Stage Three and in May 2006 took part in a review of A Level English Literature standards.
