Biography

Alison's research interests are focused in the areas of digital technologies, children and young people and inclusion. Her previous professional experience is as a practitioner and researcher in the areas of education, youth work, disability, digital technologies and outdoor learning.

Her research background has involved large-scale, international projects examining innovative technologies in classrooms, experiences of disabled young people in outdoor learning and leisure services, the potential of digital technologies for re-shaping assessment and practices of co-designing digital technologies with children. Methodologically, Alison is particularly interested in participatory, creative and socio-material approaches.
