Research summary

My research covers the geomechanics of hydrocarbon reservoirs, using microseismicity to investigate triggering mechanisms in shales. I aim to explore the relationships between injection and seismicity, evaluating the effectiveness of the "traffic light" systems which are currently implemented by many regulators.

Recently, I have been using microseismic data to examine an observed occurance of injection induced fault activation, modelling stress changes to see if elastic deformation promoted further seismicity.
